“Are you Scheming against the Lord?”

2/9/19

Schemes. Could you ever see yourself scheming against the Lord? I mean, it’s not everyday that a believer goes around looking to scheme against the very God that saved them, that created them, that gave them LIFE and life to the fullest. But as God led me to read the book of Nahum today, He showed me the heart of many, including mine. I didn’t understand why God led me to read the book of Nahum because it discuses the Assyrians, people living in the city of Nineveh, who were oppressing God’s chosen. As a result, God deemed them to be a corrupt city which resulted in them becoming an enemy of God; one in which God destroyed. So, why God would you lead me to read this today? How does it connect with me? Who is this message for? Well, much like God’s character He is always speaking and will reveal Himself to you....He did again today. God spoke to my heart and revealed that even though I may not currently be scheming against Him, that whenever I choose myself, people, and or things before Him that I am scheming against Him. That I have become His enemy. What I mean by this and what I believe He meant by this is that sin is against God and who He is. Though He has saved us and His Spirit lives inside of us, we still are living with our carnal, fleshly, and sinful nature; one in which we fight against daily with the power and glory of the Holy Spirit to walk as the children of God, we have been called to be. So, it is understood that we will sin and fall short daily...it is by His grace that we have been saved. However, when we know better as believers and still choose sin over God, over our new nature that we have been created new in Christ...we are scheming against God. Scheming against His love for us. Scheming against all that He has done for us. In essence, we are spitting in the face of God...saying that I choose this sin over you! I have to say it this way because I believe that God is a straight to the point God and He is not here to play games with us. But yet we often find ourselves playing games with Him. So, today is a day like each and every day for you to sit back and be reflective. You may not be scheming against the Lord today, or you very well may! That is for you to discuss with our God about. I am not here to condem because I have had moments in my life and even up to date where I would be seen and viewed as scheming against the Lord. I hate to put it that way and I am sure you cringe at the thought. But it is FACTS and if you don’t accept the FACTS you will continue to hide in the dark scheming against the Lord before it is too late! By too late, I mean too far gone in your sin, that your heart will be hardened, making it difficult to come back to the Lord. And you may even be there now. But know that with God anything is possible, even the impossible because God is a miracle worker! This is a cake walk for Him, to save those from themselves who don’t believe it is possible for them. So, now after reading this post you may find yourself at a cross road...you can continue to scheme against the Lord, drawing closer to the plans that the enemy wants you to have, plans to kill, steal, and destroy you! Or you can choose to walk in freedom, you can choose God! It may not be easy, nothing worth having is, but do you want to be considered a schemer against the Lord? What will your next move be? Choose wisely.

Remember God loves you, yes you!

Brya

"But with God everything is possible"

2/6/19

What are you believing is impossible for God? Maybe not even impossible but quite difficult for you to achieve. Out of reach even? What sin are you struggling with? Lust? Greed? Addiction? Pride? Anger? Idolatry? This is not meant to lead you into guilt of what you are struggling with. Satan wants you to go onto a guilt trip because if you do so, you bring focus onto yourself and your wrongdoings instead of allowing God to come into the most darkest places of you, and provide you with the very healing and freedom that you need. That you crave for. That you desire. That you may be crying out for and begging God to help you with. I have been there. None of us are perfect. We all struggle with sin. The ways in which we sin may be different but we all do, and every day even. Does that mean that we should be actively seeking to sin? No, it just helps to take the pressure off, knowing that you will fail and fall short every day, BUT with God. Man oh man, with God...anything is possible. For His grace is present for every move and decision you make that leads you into sin. If you keep your eyes on the Lord, He will help you with the very thing you are struggling with. If you keep God at the center, even when you make that wrong decision over and over again, He can provide you with deliverance. He can provide you with freedom and the strength that you need through the power and glory of His Holy Spirit! For nothing is too big or too great for our God no matter how much Satan wants you to believe that it is over. Think your a screw up? Think that nothing can ever change? Think that you can never have freedom? Think that life is over for you? Think that you are too far gone for God to forgive you? Well think again! That is nothing but the enemy! See, your mind is the greatest battle ground for Satan to play with. He wants you to believe every lie that he tells you, that he speaks to you. Yes right now even. Just like he did with Jesus during his time of fasting of 40 nights and 40 days. He attempted to deceive Jesus into believing that having the world would be greater than walking with the Lord. He wanted Jesus to believe that He was too weak and needed to rely outside of God’s strength. But every time that Satan would bring forth a cunning lie, Jesus would use the Gospel to dispel all lies. So, whenever Satan comes to you today with lies, go to your word! Go to the scriptures! Speak life, freedom, healing, and victory over your life for it is yours to take today! Jesus died on the cross for you to have it, have it all! So take it! Stop waiting! What are you waiting for? Do you want to be free? Are you tired of doing the same’ol thing everyday that is drawing you farther and farther from God? Well then, let God in...into your darkest moments! For even the greatest Apostle, Paul shared his struggles of wanting to do what is right, knowing what to do to be holy as God is holy, but struggling everyday. Sinning when he didn’t want to sin. But yet Jesus! Jesus is there in those moments with you each and every day! For He loves you. Cares for you! My goodness He very well died for you! Don’t be the next victim of the enemy for Jesus is there right now with you in whatever you are going through to save you from destruction! Please do not forget the scriptures in John 10:10 NIV “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Do you want Satan to win? To have victory over your life? Or will you take a stand today and allow for God to give you the strength and power needed to overcome all that you are struggling with? To overcome and have victory over the enemy? Choose wisely for your decision will set the entire course of your life!

Day 7: "Are you patiently enduring trouble and hardships?!”

1/20/19

Are you patiently enduring trouble and hardships!? Keeping your trust in the Lord? For we are no better than Jesus and if He was persecuted...so will we! However, from my own experiences I can empathize because it is much easier said than done. When we go through trials and tribulations in life they shake us up. At least for me and are a direct attack from Satan to shake and decrease my faith to ashes. Instead, let us not give the enemy that amount of power over us and walk in the Spirit of Power, and of love and of a sound mind...knowing who we are in Christ. Knowing that he watches after us (Psalm 91:4).
___________

“We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind.”
~2 Corinthians 6:3-4 NLT

Day 6: "Who is you God right now?"

1/19/19

Who is your God right now? Is it that job you always wanted? The promotion you are working so hard to get? The spouse you are desiring to have? The house you have been dreaming about? The wedding you are hoping for? The children you want and pray for at night? The car you have been looking into? I don’t mean to come off harsh, but have you replaced God with your current desire and unmet expectations? IDOLS are real! Let’s take a look at the scriptures to see just how much impact and detriment, that idols can have on our faith and walk with Jesus:

Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more...”~Psalm 16:4

“Do not turn to idols or make metal gods for yourselves. I am the LORD your God.”~Leviticus 19:4 NIV

“Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you when you are in trouble!”~Judges 10:14 NIV

“Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them."~Jonah 2:8

“Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry.”~1 Corinthians 10:14

So, let this be a warning. Don’t get me wrong we all have desires. I have desires. However, do not let those desires become an idol and false god in your life. How does a desire grow to become an idol? Well, it is once you begin to worship the idea of having what you desire more than you worship the Lord our God. Put your trust in God and watch Him work...He will provide for all of your needs in His perfect and anointed time!

Day 5: "How are you evaluating those around you?"

1/18/19

How are you evaluating those around you? Through the lens of Jesus which is of grace and mercy? Or through the lens of man? Which is of judgment and condemnation? Look at the scriptures once more in order to fully understand how we must evaluate those around us:

"So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!"

~2 Corinthians 5:16 NLT

Day 3: "Where is your FOCUS?"

1/16/19

Where is your FOCUS? Peter took his eyes off of Jesus for just a second and look what instantly happened to him...he sank. Are you sinking? If so, it is time to re-evaluate your focus. Is it on the Lord? If not, ask Him to give you the strength to regain your focus onto Him and His will for your life! Then watch things work out in YOUR favor!
